There are two modern theories of aging- the damaged theories and the programmed theories.

Thus, in contrast to the previous theory, this theory looks at intrinsic aging- aging due to rate of passing time.

Whenever your body processes food, it produces some highly active by products, commonly known as “free radicals”. These free radicals, produced during oxidation, are extremely unstable, and hence cause damage to your body cells, and quicken aging. To neutralize these free radicals, you should consume more vitamins, minerals and enzymes, collectively known as antioxidant antiaging. Though these antioxidants are plentifully available in fruits, vegetables and other food you eat, you can also get them in supplements in the form of pills and capsules.
