Do you know the most vital part of the body that keeps a person to stand upright? Do you know which part of your body enables you to move and bend? Or even gives your body its structure? It is none other than the spine.

The spine supports the nervous system which controls and regulates all body functions, as its nerves expand similarly to an especially complicated computer system from the spine. It consists of three major parts: the spinal column that consists of bones and discs; neural elements like the spinal cord and nerve roots; and the supporting structures such as the ligaments and muscles.

But of course, the spine needs its proper care. In order to keep the spine healthy, you need to see a chiropractor regularly. It is a must for once the spine is uneven, body aches and pains may begin to cause trouble in your life.

One common health problem that is caused by lack of taking care of the spine is low back chronic pain. There are eight out of ten people experience low back pain in at least once in their lives. People usually missed their office days or even other plans just to visit their clinicians and have their spine checked.

Having low back pain is not very easy for it also very costly. The treatment for low back chronic pain can cost around $30 billion to $70 billion per year. Imagine the estimated number of Americans, around 4.6 million, who are in need of a spine surgery and a chiropractor to help them keep their spine healthy.  Spine surgery is something that you wish you will not get for it has high threats and low outcomes and most of them will require secure treatment from a physical therapy or chiropractic help. A chiropractor, on the other hand, can be very effective and can popularly be found in Colorado Springs, CO and in other American cities as well.

Once you visit a chiropractor, you will also undergo the same examination you get from a medical doctor. The chiropractor will ask you usual questions about your general medical history and also the type and location of the pain you are feeling. A hands-on-examination will be performed to test the reflexes, muscle strength, pulse, temperature, blood pressure, and range of motion and vertebral subluxations to check the spine and joints. An x-ray examination will also be done and the use of other techniques to fully complete the diagnosis. In the final phase of the exam, the chiropractor will adjust the joints of the spine and the extremities that show signs of control in movement using his hand to be able to improve mobility and relief of pain. Through manipulation, the joint movement receptors which hand feedback to the brain are stimulated. For some chiropractors, they include electrical therapies in the treatment.

If you are experiencing body aches and pains, it is a must to look for a chiropractor. Chiropractic, the science that chiropractors study is located in the spinal structures that cause pain and reduce their effect to the nervous system. The care that chiropractors provide is a greater alternative than going beneath the knife.
