Lower back pain right side

Our posture has a painful effect on our lower back right side. This is true especially when our muscles are strained to dwell in one position for a very long period of time like standing in line at a food or ticket counter. Usually, what people do is they give their muscles relief by adjusting their posture. However, the adjustment that they do is not right for the weight resides on a hip or specific location that only brings strain on one side of the back rather than relief. Many people who are right handed mostly put the strain on the right side of the lower back area, causing a lot of pain when left uncorrected.

What a person can do in order to avoid this is to stop the shifting of hips into irregular positions. It is preferable to use a low stool about three inches off the ground to be able to have one foot rested. After five to ten minutes, you can rest the other foot. However, it is already visible that people cannot stay in stiff positions all the time because we normally move and shift. Still, we must always be aware of our spine. Stretching and bending your back everyday will make your days a lot better.

Driving is also a reason why there are many people who have lower back pain. Though not all, there are cars built today that has lumbar support switch which can be used to give relief to the back during long hours of traffic or hauls. If your car does not have one, then you can use a cloth or any tender material to provide lumbar region support to keep your back straight. You must also take notice of your posture while you are driving. You can adjust the seat back forward and remember to not lie back. The steering wheel should also be not too far from your shoulders because too much distance can pull the muscles in your upper back. Also, do a lot of walking and stretching during long drives. By following these driving tips, you will be able to prevent yourself from suffering from a lot of pain.

Another important thing that you need to look at is the way you sit in front of the TV or at a table. Crossing your legs is not very advisable unless you are performing a stretch. This can throw your back out of alignment and will cause lower back pain on the right side. Always remember to sit straight and find a chair with lumbar support and a stiff back. Your knees should also be a little higher than your hips and your feet should be laid flat on the floor. If you are sitting for a long period of time, you have to move from time to time. You can always go back to the original straight position after a few minutes. This way, you can save yourself from a lot of distress.

Also, carrying luggage has an effect on lower back pain on the right side for we normally throw our bags over our shoulders, causing our backs to reside in an awkward position. This is normal for a short period of time but if prolonged, it can create serious pain in the lower back. For ease, you can stretch your muscles and correct your poor posture.

All of these tips will surely help you ease the pain on your lower back right side as you go on with your everyday life. Always keep in mind that though lifting heavy weights is normal and necessary in our lives, we still must take care of our backs for they are the ones who make us move.
