Natural Acne Remedies

A chronic skin condition, acne, affects the lives of millions of peoples, irrespective of their age, sex and race. Drinking loads of water (at least 8 glasses) can help you get rid of acne. You should also increase your fiber intake.

Natural supplements and vitamins are also known to be very effective against acne and is also one of the natural acne remedies. Particularly vitamin A helps in reducing the level of sebum produced in the body. But, some reports have also shown that taking high doses of vitamin A and similar kind can cause decreased bone density, headache, birth defects, joint and muscle pain. So it is important to note that vitamin A supplement may not be necessary if you already have enough intake of beta-carotene, zinc and vitamin E. Zinc has also been proved to be another potent natural acne remedy. It helps in reducing inflammation and androgenic hormonal effects on the skin as well. Also known to be effective against acne is vitamin B6 that may help mid-cycle or premenstrual acne.

Last, but not the least, some herbs also act has good and effective natural acne remedy. An example of this kind is combining herbal extracts of yellow dock, sarsaparilla, cleavers and burdock. They are also considered as strong lymph and blood cleansers.
